Set on the headwaters of the Androscoggin River in Milan, New Hampshire, the Milan Lumber Company is a family owned and operated softwood dimension mill, with an annual production of 70 million board feet. The Carrier family purchased the mill in 2008 bringing more than 40 years of experience in the wood industry. The mill, located in the rural community of Milan, NH, employs 82 people. Milan Lumber is the largest softwood dimension mill in the state and is recognized for producing high quality Spruce dimension lumber for customers across the Eastern United States and Canada. Milan Lumber provides a tremendous benefits to the local economy. Beyond employing 82 employees the mill yard loads/unloads over 2,000 independent lumber trucks, 6,900 independent log trucks and 4,400 by product trucks annually.
