Set on the headwaters of the Androscoggin River in Milan, NH, the Milan Lumber Company is a family owned and operated softwood dimension mill, with an annual production of 70 million board feet. The Carrier family purchased the mill in 2008 bringing more than 40 years of experience in the wood industry. The mill, located in the rural community of Milan, NH, employs 55 people. Milan Lumber Company is the largest softwood dimension mill in the state and is recognized for producing high quality Spruce dimension lumber for customers across the Eastern United States and Canada. Milan Lumber Company provides a tremendous benefits to the local economy. Beyond employing 55 employees the mill yard loads/unloads over 2,000 lumber trucks, 6,900 log trucks and 4,400 by product trucks annually.
